Black History Month Events in Odessa, TX

Every year, the Black Cultural Council of Odessa takes great pride in organizing community events for Black History Month. These events are a time for our community to come together to celebrate and recognize the many important contributions of Black Americans. An Evening with the Stars

We believe it’s essential to acknowledge and appreciate the Young Stars within our area who have been making (and continue to make) positive contributions in the community. We hold a banquet each year with a delicious dinner for all to enjoy, followed by the presentation of the Young Stars and speeches from special guests. Previous guest speakers have included Simone Lightfoot, Gavin Norris and Dr. Elizabeth Branch, founder of College Bound Ballerz.
